Embark on an unforgettable adventure through the enchanting forests and along the Kolpa River, where cultural heritage meets unspoiled nature. This unique experience in Kostel – a donkey trekking journey – will delight both children and nature lovers, as well as those fond of stories from the past.

Equipped with traditional pack saddles, our donkeys will guide you along Mikula’s Devil’s Trail, passing hamlets with traditional Kostel houses and the Krajc–Bukovje forest reserve. At Padovac Tourist Farm, you’ll enjoy homemade strudel, rakija, and apple juice. Children can ride the donkeys, and under the guidance of an experienced guide, the group will share plenty of fun – including crossing a forest stream by waterfall!

After about 4 km, the journey continues to Koča Kostel, where you’ll explore ethnological collections. Then, it’s time for the final climb to Kostel Castle, where a picnic with local delicacies awaits – delivered by our faithful four-legged friends. We’ll end the day with a guided tour of the mighty medieval fortress.
